I Know the Struggle is Real

I KNOW THE STRUGGLE IS REAL!

Written BY: Charity Ann Naylor- Schmidt

What have your Mental/Emotional struggles taught you about life and your purpose?

I think the struggles we are faced with are needed to help transform our thinking and our decision-making skills.

My personal struggles also help me to transform my imperfections in my life to excellences and perfection through the maker that has created me.

Life is not easy it is a never-ending struggle with trials and tribulatios., with losses and wins. NOT every day is full of sunshine, clear skies, and rainbows.

When those trials and tribulatios hit you hard when you are your weakest most vulnerable moments is when you start learning who Might actually give a flying leap and bound for you and you Heart(personal spirit)and (personal SOUL)!

Not forgetting your true roots of spirituality and human bloodlines helps you understand your purpose a little better.

Admitting only the things you can remember is a cleaning of your personal sin, and mistakes.

Truly, admitting you are NOT perfect in Human Nature but, you are Perfect through HIS Spirit OF LOVE, LIFE, and TRUTH.

Wanting to be different, and seek find who what your purpose is A Big step into Mature Spiritual Growth from the day you were born until now.

MY REAL-LIFE EXPERIENCES

I would say I have my good days and my bad days. I have been through all different kinds of abuse, but the sexual abuse was the worst of all. I suffer with really, really, with bad Memories, and sometimes the emotions linked to those memories cause me to be stuck in mental and emotional distress. I know how the pain and the hauntings of memories cause severe Anxiety and Depression. I know it feels!!!

NO JOKE ABOUT IT

Some days are a challenge for me to get through than other days are sometimes manageable than others.

I was once really young vulnerable and naive when.

I went through most of my experiences that I could not control.

I was molested at young ages, and then I was raped later in my life is my 20’s to be exact and by those same people which left me a bad taste in my mouth about trust women and men of all kinds. I was like how I am supposed trust people that totally demean my character and my personal choices. I feel that people that do that to innocent people are treating me like trash and like I’m worthless but, then I remember that this world is a fake as the smile I have to show sometimes just to get through the day.

The STIGMA that Falls on the INNOCENT!

THE STIGMA falls on the Innocent because the world only wants one breed of Offspring to exist.

I totally disagree with people wanting to be better than everybody else, especially if you make the same choices for yourself.

I hate getting Labeled by Haters.

that get labeled by HATERS in using the Society tools in this World to corrupt the innocent people's minds and strong spirited character.

What is Complex PTSD? What is PTSD?

What is Complex PTSD? What is PTSD?

How does it manifest in the Body? How does PTSD changes the Cortisol Levels, and other Hormonal Changes?

I personally think by what I have experienced and studied, that PTSD is 1 or 2 Personal Traumatic Experiences such as: Enviromental, Physical, Mental and Emotional Damage and (Verbal Abuse), That happened out of your personal control.

These Traumatic Experiences could possibly be caused by: Natural Disasters, Vehicular Accidents, Childhood Sicknesses, Molestation, and Rape (Sexual Abuse)

I personal think by what I have experienced and studies, that CPTSD is MORE than 1 or 2 Personal Traumatic Experiences, that were out of your personal control such as:

Mental and Emotional Damage (Verbal Abuse)

Sexual Abuse Several times (Molestation, and Rape)

*** The Changes that I have Experienced: Confusion, Amnesia, Mental Stress caused by Flashbacks, STUCK Syndrome, Disassociative Disorder, Addictions to Alcohol, Nicotine, Caffeine, Masturbation, and other non-prescribed and even some prescribed Medications, (for Numbing the Mind from flashbacks, and to numb the body from any manifestations of Physical Nueropothy, Back and Neck tension and tightness Pain) ***

What is Cortisol?

Cortisol is a glucocorticoid hormone that your adrenal glands produce and release.

Hormones are chemicals that coordinate different functions in your body by carrying messages through your blood to your organs, skin, muscles and other tissues. These signals tell your body what to do and when to do it.

Cortisol: What It Is, Function, Symptoms & Levels (clevelandclinic.org)

Trauma affects the Hypothalamo-Pituitary-Adrenal system, resulting in neuroendocrine dysregulation. Hormones like adrenaline and cortisol increase while oxytocin decreases.

Inflammation and the Brain Changes Observed in Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder | CPTSDfoundation.org

Psychiatry.org - What is Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)?

PTSD- Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a psychiatric disorder that may occur in people who have experienced or witnessed a traumatic event, series of events or set of circumstances. An individual may experience this as emotionally or physically harmful or life-threatening and may affect mental, physical, social, and/or spiritual well-being. Examples include natural disasters, serious accidents, terrorist acts, war/combat, rape/sexual assault, historical trauma, intimate partner violence and bullying.

1. Reliving the traumatic experience.

2. Reoccurring memories of traumatic, during traumatic event some triggers example as, smells, and emotions feelings.

3. This can include having nightmares of flashbacks.

4. Avoiding certain situations

5. You might avoid situations or activities, such as large crowds or driving, that remind you of the traumatic event. this also includes keeping yourself preoccupied to avoid thinking about the event.

6. This can include avoiding relationships w/ other people not being able to trust others, or believing the world is very dangerous.

COMPLEX PTSD-

Complex post-traumatic stress disorder (CPTSD, C-PTSD or cPTSD) is a mental health condition that can develop if you experience chronic (long-term) trauma. It involves stress responses, such as:

  • Anxiety.
  • Having flashbacks or nightmares.
  • Avoiding situations, places and other things related to the traumatic event.
  • Heightened emotional responses, such as impulsivity or aggressiveness.
  • Persistent difficulties in sustaining relationships.

Examples of chronic trauma include:

  • Long-term child physical or sexual abuse.
  • Long-term domestic violence.
  • Being a victim of human or sex trafficking.
  • War.
  • Frequent community violence.

While CPTSD is often associated with chronic trauma in childhood, adults who experience chronic trauma can also develop the condition.

CPTSD as a diagnosis

Experts across the field of psychology disagree on if CPTSD is a distinct condition and diagnosis.

For example, two organizations that publish professional reference books have different opinions about CPTSD. In 2019, The World Health Organization (WHO) listed CPTSD in its 11th revision of the International Classification of Diseases (ICD-11). But the American Psychiatric Association (APA), which publishes the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DMS-5), doesn’t recognize CPTSD as a distinct condition. The DSM-5 does list a sub-type of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) called dissociative PTSD that seems to encompass CPTSD symptoms.

***Additional Treatments that I have gone through and experienced is a few days in a Mental Health Care facility and spoke to a few therapists, some Anti-Depression/Anti-Anxiety Medication and I suggest Neurontin (Gabapentin), I suggest CBD/CBC Cannabis for Physical Pain Management while Not Driving and not mixed other depressants such as: Alcohol. E.C.T. Treatments only when you are suicidal and stuck in your own loop of Flashbacks. ***

I suggest Trauma Therapy, and Talk Therapy, not all the time though only because I believe that FAITH BASED APPLICATION and SEEKING the HEAVENLY CREATORS influences is the best way to understand the Human Brain and that HE is the only one that Understands what HE Created.

What Does the Bible Say About Mind? (openbible.info)

Romans 8:5-6 ESV - For those who live according to the - Bible Gateway

For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.

ROMANS 12:2

2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
